We've stopped the tax on social security income. Now, we must look at the entire tax policy and continue to make Kansas a great place for everyone to live. Top priority must be increasing the amount of property value exempted from state assessment and reining in out of control property valuation increases, as well as looking at additional property tax relief for seniors and disabled veterans.

The state currently has a $4 Billion surplus, just waiting for someone to find a place to spend it... I believe you deserve a portion of that because it's your money and you know best how to spend it. I also support policies that lower gas and energy prices.

We all deserve to live in communities that are safe and secure. I will continue to support and prioritize funding for public safety and our first responders.

I'll continue to support fully funding our schools, support teachers with money to the classrooms, and back policies that expand job training opportunities.
